Results from 2019 NZ Secondary School Ki o Rahi Nationals
Just in case you missed it the largest Ki o Rahi Tournament in the world took place in Hastings, Hawkes Bay during the week!
34 schools from around Aotearoa battled it out, with Te Wharekura o Rakaumangamanga crowned champions for the 3rd time since the tournament’s inception in 2010.
For those that missed all the action we’ve decided to bring you the results and rankings from the 2019 Secondary School Ki o Rahi Nationals.
Before we get into that we thought you might like to see where all the teams came from - a huge thank you to Matua Tihirangi Brightwell from Lincoln High School for putting together these infographics for us!
34 teams with 33 of them coming from the North Island, as far up as Kaikohe/Okaihau in Te Tai Tokerau through to Mana and Tawa in Te Whanganui a Tara.
The lone team from the South Island was Lincoln High School, who also walked away deservedly with the Spirit of Ki o Rahi trophy. Definitely a lot more expensive for our whanau from Te Wai Pounamu however it would be awesome to see many more of them head along to Nationals over the next few years.
