Results - 2019 Wellington Secondary School Ki o Rahi Regionals

Tuesday 24th September 2019 seen Te Whanganui a Tara host their Ki o Rahi Regionals, the competition was held at Te Whiti Park in Lower Hutt and teams from all round the region came together to compete across three different grades.

The girls grade saw teams from Aotea, St Mary’s, Wellington Girls, Tawa and Marsden compete.

The boys grade saw teams from Aotea, Wellington College, Raphael House, St Bernards and Mana College all compete.

The mixed grade with teams looking to qualify for the 2020 Ki o Rahi Nationals saw teams from Naenae, Tawa, Mana, Wainuiomata, Heretaunga and Wellington Coll/Wellington Girls College.

In the boys grade Mana and Aotea topped the pool play and met together in the final with Mana coming up trumps 35 points to 10.

In the girls grade, two teams from St Mary’s battled off in the final with St Mary’s 1 winning a close encounter with their school mates 26 - 20.

And in the coveted Mixed division Mana College faced off against Tawa College with Mana again winning the Wellington Regionals with a score of 33 - 11.
