Tai Tokerau Kī o Rahi

The 2020 Tai Tokerau Kī o Rahi Regionals will be held on Friday 11th September at Lindvart Park, Kaikohe.

The competition is for Year 9 - 13 students of Northland schools, there will be boys, girls and mixed teams!

As a region we would like to place the focus on the tikanga based process. While we have a set of rules to guide us, our emphasis is on establishing a process that encourages whanaungatanga and knowledge exchange. To support this, all games will be facilitated by Kaitakawaenga. Their main responsibility is to maintain the Mauri, Mana, Wairua and Tikanga of the kemu and respected rohe.

The tournament will help your school to qualify for the 2021 NZ Secondary School Kī o Rahi Nationals.

The tournament will be run by He Oranga Poutama and Sport Northland.
