2020 Murihiku Secondary School Ki o Rahi Regionals (Southland)
The 2020 Murihiku (Southland) Secondary School Kī o Rahi Regionals are scheduled for Tuesday 28th July 2020 and will be held indoors at the ILT Stadium in Invercargill.
The tournament is for Year 9 - 13 students and is played as mixed teams with both boys and girls needed on the field at all times.
Kī o Rahi is a growing sport all over Aotearoa and there is a lot of interest in the sport from Te Waipounamu, (South Island) as the game evolves there will continue to be more competitions regionally and nationally so getting your team involved now to learn and grow would be an awesome idea.
If your school has never entered a team into the Murihiku Regionals then we advise you to do so, you can find more information around entries here and information around the rules here.
To help get you started you could contact Southland Sport and/or Murihiku Marae to see if they can help introduce the game to your school.
