The 2020 Waitaha Matariki Ki o Rahi celebration will take place on Friday 24th July 2020.

Held by Te Puna Wānaka, Ara Institute of Technology

Venue: Whareora, Indoor Sports Arena, Ara Institute of Canterbury

The tournament is by invite only

Saturday 12th October 2019 at Pulman Park in Papakura, Auckland sees the return of the annual event dubbed Iwi of Origin.

Iwi of Origin was started in Auckland to foster a Pa Wars Type feel to the city with the aim of bringing Maori together from all around the region.

The competition has even extended its reach to the rest of the country with over 3000 participants in 2018 across a number of codes including touch, tag, basketball,netball and ki o rahi.

Ki o Rahi is for adult/young adult teams and there are limited spaces whanau so get your entry in now.

It’s that time of the year where we can start looking at more Ki o Rahi tournaments for adults to head along to.

First up to celebrate the Kingitanga is Koroneihana, this is an awesome way to be involved with the celebrations and to come and connect with the whanau from the Waikato.

Would be awesome to get teams along from all around the country.

Held at Patterson Park, Turangawaewae on Saturday 17th August 2019, starting 10am.

Only $30 to enter a team.
